Andy PLATT: Labour candidate for Boothen
Andy has lived in this area for over 30 years and he has represented this ward on the city council for over 20 years.
Every year it gets more difficult as every Tory Government cuts funding for Stoke-on-Trent more and more. We desperately need a Labour Government and a Labour Council rooted in our local communities to try to undo these years of neglect.
Andy deals with over 300 cases a year on behalf of local residents. This informs his priorities:
1. Flytipping is a real scourge in our area and Andy will continue to fight to get more CCTV cameras in the ward.
2. Continue to support all our wonderful community groups spread right across the area from Stoke Events Group to the community team at the West End Centre.
3. Continue to support our parks and green spaces – such as Yeaman Street, Villa Street and all the other valued places.
