Cut the grass, not our services
We are fed up with the mess the City Council is making of the alleys and overgrown areas. It’s leading to more rats, dog poo and higher fire risks. Leaving flytipping for days and days is gross and unfair.
Like you, we’ve had enough of this neglect. We don’t care if the back alley is unadopted, it still needs cleaning.
The problem has been coming since November last year when the Conservative-led council cut the environment budget. Labour councillors voted against budget cuts and for grass cutting.
Please sign the petition on the council website to call on the council to:
- Clear the unadopted back alleys of flytipping and excessive littering and keep them cleared.
- Reinstate the previous maintenance standards to the green amenity space in residential areas and on the green spaces across the city.
We can’t knock on your door at the moment because of covid-19 but Labour is still working hard for you.
Sign the petition today and make sure everyone in your household does too.
